Exterior...House Build

We are slowly getting there...Hooray! Renderers have been there for 2 days, doing the final coat, still not finished but bit by bit, the house is starting to look complete. The decking has been done back and front which I am very happy about. I also met the landscaper today and he seemed so enthusiastic, lovely and very inventive. I am having an all Australian native garden and he picked the colours of purple, silver and yellow (I think this is what he said) colours that compliment a modern exterior. In the front will be like a native rock garden...4 -5 big feature rocks spread out and all the beautiful natives growing between. He also picked a few native grasses as well which I have admired in other gardens in the area. He is also doing the back garden as well in the same theme. I was really impressed by his ideas so to say I cant wait would be an understatement.

Front of house with new walk way.

Here are some shots of my almost completed exterior. Still not all rendered the final colour, mainly the left side needs to be done. There also will be a beautiful green door to set of the front entrance, Still waiting for it to be delivered.

The box feature on top of the door will be the dark chocolate colour...still to be rendered

Kitchen with the new overheads

Ensuite with basin, tap and toilet.

Back shot of my house
Between the fence pillars will be a metal fence, all neighbours have this as we all have to be consistent. This is according to planning guidelines. Pillars will also be rendered the dark chocolate colour.

Decking at the back of house
It is such a fantastic size, already I am imagining all my barbecues with friends out here!

It sits nice and flush with the door...

Front steps
So not long now...starting to look good! Still so much work to go but lets remain positive!

The colours you have chosen for the exterior of your home a beautiful - they complement one another well. Great idea having the native garden since we have Stage 3A water restrictions here. And, there are so many gorgeous varieties of natives available now. No wonder you're excited!

Your house is stunning!! And it really does look like the picture in your blog header!! :-)

I can't wait to see your landscaping. I'm sure your native Australian plants are a lot different than the native plants we have here in Canada, given our very different climates!!

Everything is coming together beautifully... not too much longer till you'll be moved in!! :-)

Hi everybody, thankyou so much once more for all your wonderful, positive comments.
As for the exterior colour...it is so difficult to get a good picture as the colours tend to look faded in the photos or it depends on where the sun is shinning. Once its all finish, I will take some better shots. It is so frustrating seeing a half finished exterior everytime we drive up but not long now...

Looking good. I love the deck.
We've excavated our back garden to put a 10,000L water tank in, and plan to put a circular deck over the top. It's fun to imagine the housewarming!

Love it Mrs. B!!! LOVE IT!!
I thought the same thing Kelly did... it looks just like the picture in your header! Except... where are those neat looking red beam-looking things that stick out? Regardless... the house is FAB with or without the red things. Loving the deck... I want a deck!! Okay, I have one (in the front), but I want one in the back and I'm a smidge envious of yours ;-)
Glad I stopped by today... and I'm looking forward to move-in day!!

Hi Victoria
I'm glad you noticed the red beam things are not there! We all thought including the builder, better not add them on as it could look really 'daggy' LOL Also, the steel cross thing is also not going on because our builder thought it could look like a 'church cross' so we are having just the horizontal strip instead. Othere than that, everything is done as originally planned.
As for the deck, thankgoodness it is a really large workable area. I could easily have a party out there without fear of people falling off the edges hehe
