I think it makes it more special when you actually meet the stonemasons and cabinet makers. I didnt tell you but....after I posted, my builder was there supervising the cut of the granite (it is a very expensive stone in Australia and he wanted to make sure it was perfect)and he rang to tell me the ends were crumbling when they tried to do mitre joins (I think thats the term) I almost fainted but he reassured me everything was OK and it just meant I would have to have it done another way where there might be a small line.
Is this stone going to be worth it...I hope so as we went to a lot of effort to get it into this house. So this week tomorrow all the tops are suppose to be fitted, hopefully it looks as good as I have imagined for the last 2 years!
Mrs BMrs Bhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10486373071405217991noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2239112229660168491.post-58731015603489907292009-02-07T19:23:00.000-08:002009-02-07T19:23:00.000-08:00I'm in love with your granite choice, Mrs. B! And ...I'm in love with your granite choice, Mrs. B! And I'm envious that you got to go to the stone mason's shop for a tour, even seeing some of your stone getting cut!! I've toured the stone warehouses before, but the shop would be a treat! I think it's fantastic that you're mixing your materials - granite and carerra... it's going to look absolutely beautiful! I'm looking forward to your kitchen after photos :-)
Victoria (the other half of DesignTies)DesignTieshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02561438683476880640noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2239112229660168491.post-90167152125281433902009-02-07T12:41:00.000-08:002009-02-07T12:41:00.000-08:00Wow, it's gorgeous!
