Reminds me of my last house where we used mirror as the undercounter material for our kitchen island bench.
http://eternalicons.blogspot.com.au/2011/08/last-project-renovation.html
It made the island bench 'float'. Many thinking there were no cabinets underneath but mini skirt wearers BEWARE!!!!
I'm struggling with my windex expenditure with lots of glass windows let alone floors! Looks pretty spectacular though! x KLKLhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14763689950705543241noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2239112229660168491.post-21816863651917286482012-07-18T19:17:48.421-07:002012-07-18T19:17:48.421-07:00It is great to have people from all over the world...It is great to have people from all over the world come and visit isn't it! Little things like that do inspire us to keep blogging.

That house is very unique, and the light fitting/chandelier in the living room is DIVINE. That has to be the closest light I've seen to something I've been envisioning in my head for a while. It looks gorgeous when it's all lit up. LOVE it!

Lol about the floor and the dress situation, could get a bit tricky if you were having a party in the house!

Linda. xoxHeartfire At Homehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00941112070677849231noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2239112229660168491.post-35365274533103605392012-07-18T13:31:52.875-07:002012-07-18T13:31:52.875-07:00Kelly thankyou so much for that homemade chalk pai...Kelly thankyou so much for that homemade chalk paint recipe...I was fascinated as I had only seen shop chalk paint. So, here's the answer for you...

To make homemade chalk paint, mix together 2/3 cup latex paint in your choice of colour with 1/3 cup plaster of paris. Add a bit of warm water if it's too thick (but you want it to be relatively thick). Then paint the piece you want to paint - one coat might be enough, but it's always good to do two. Sand some paint off for a distressed look, and then apply paste wax with a soft cloth. You can use either clear wax or a brown wax for an antiqued look.

Hope that helps!

And FYI, we're doing a complete bathroom reno and this bathroom by Sarah R is the inspiration :-)

http://www.hgtv.ca/sarah101/episodes.aspx?sectionid=432&categoryid=4734036969716620993&postid=302956K&B by the Seahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05581765778332754970noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2239112229660168491.post-66358406881638156002012-07-18T06:24:48.078-07:002012-07-18T06:24:48.078-07:00Hahahha! I love the combination of wood & glass - but imagine keeping all that glass clean... Yikes! I would love to visit this house, but I think I'll stick with regular floors in my house :-)K&B by the Seahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05581765778332754970noreply@blogger.com
