And the walnut cabinets are fantastic.. you'll love them, wait and see.
As for being so close to a project that you see every imperfection... I totally get this! But you know, I've found (and since you've renovated before you've likely found the same) that some of those "faults" that were glaring originally became non-existant when every thing is all finished! Well almost :-) I may still see something but no one else does!!
I'm looking forward to following your blog - you'll be moving in soon!DesignTieshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02561438683476880640noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2239112229660168491.post-88197722076038223202009-01-29T04:06:00.000-08:002009-01-29T04:06:00.000-08:00The sheen on those green doors is amazing. The height of the cabinets had been an ongoing issue for months but as Mr B points out, he is the one who cooks and we have a large butler’s pantry with storage galore, so what if they are a little high! He has a good point I think! I have no idea who the 2 pac painter is but gees they did a good job.

Hi A-M you are right, I am too close to the project that I am starting to pick on every little aspect of the house. I notice every tiny imperfection in the plaster and forever checking out the paint work. As for my style of home, you wouldn’t believe it but I have always loved period style houses. We renovated an old home over 10 years previously so this house is like the opposite of what we have lived in before. It will be a challenge to blend some of our antique furniture into a modern interior. I am actually looking forward to this challenge...
Mrs BMrs Bhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10486373071405217991noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2239112229660168491.post-44271775864898011612009-01-28T22:17:00.000-08:002009-01-28T22:17:00.000-08:00Oh you have to step back a bit... it's all gorgeou...Oh you have to step back a bit... it's all gorgeous... you are too close to it all. If I was doing your style of home, I would need YOU to advise me... it's so funky. Love the green doors and love the kitchen. I think the higher the better... creates height in the ceiling and gives a grander feel to the whole thing. Who is your 2 pac painter? Your kitchen looks good already. With the height I am sure you can find a way to make it work such as using a stool - they don't visually look that high in the picture.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
